John Denver is a popular performer and songwriter that has touched a multitude of people through his songs. Most of his songs were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado and moved to Aspen. Denver's famous songs about his home state led many to relocate to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame has stated it was John Denver was the best singer to have captured Colorado. Denver was one of the very one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Today, he is seen as the embodiment of Colorado by people throughout the world. Certainly in my travels you come across someone from another side of the world someone from New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the first thing out of their mouth is"Oh John Denver! Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's top 10 solo hit after appearing alongside small folk ensembles. It was written, co-written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff created the song with Johnny Cash in mind but once Denver saw an early rendition immediately, he realized it was one of the top hits. The singer recorded the song only a few days afterward following a performance to crowds that were enthralled on the streets of Washington D.C.
