Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. Shooting to fame for his role in Road Trip he has since played in more than 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Also, he has been on over 22 shows, such as Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. The Hodgkin's lymphoma patient who survived, which he was diagnosed at age 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. Following two years of treatment his cancer went into remission. The treatment was so early that it had a significant impact on the body which slowed the growth of his body. The financial security was his first goal once he got started since he'd experienced hardship throughout his entire childhood. He said, "I've been living so frugal for so many years and I'm desperate for to have financial security, otherwise my life will feel out-of-control to me." He thinks back to his childhood, and has a desire to take action against bullying. His experience of being a victim is heartbreaking for him. On and off screen, DJ would love to play the role of a father. Director doesn't pick him for these roles but he does say. It's great to one day be a parent himself, when he will be able spend much less time working and dedicate it to his son.
