Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name of Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was who was born within Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father had an ethnically Jewish origin. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved to Mendocino County California. In those days, there was no electricity. Ryder was a voracious reading book because there was no television. Ryder aged 12 was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in the year 1983. At the age of 15, Ryder landed her first part onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder endured bullying while in high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her bullying was going to be corrected. Unfortunately, that did not happen. However, she was determined to pursue the dreams she had. In 1988 she had her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was later cast in numerous roles that were successful. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
