Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on November 25, 1968 in Canada is a Canadian actress and musician who has been honored for her outstanding contribution to American television. She's best known for her incredible performance in the American TV programs like Law & Order (where she impressed viewers over three seasons in the role of prosecutor Claire Kincaid) and Crossing Jordan (where she portrayed the lead character Jordan Cavanaugh). Hennessy has also showcased her talent as an actor through films like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted and the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, where she also worked on her scriptwriting and co-directing muscles. Her acting career started in 1988, when she and her sister acted as twin characters in Dead Ringers. In 1990, she was in a short stint on Broadway as Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Then, she moved into science-fiction and was the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. The following year the biggest breakthrough came when she joined NBC's hit drama Law & Order to play the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. As part of the show she entertained viewers throughout the three years that ended in the year 1996. Parker has appeared on films and TV series like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on The Side The West Wing Angels, for which Parker received the Golden Globe Award as well as an Emmy Award. Parker was also honored with the Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her part in the role of Proof on Broadway.
