The actress, who was an Vogue cover girl magazine, is now living with her family in Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel still struggles to cope with her divorce of Richard Harris, even though they were only married for 8 years. The actress was born into an Jewish middle class family, and grew up in Manhattan, Turkel had, by age 16, studied with both Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse and Philip Burton at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. In high school Ann began singing with her schoolmates and formed a rock and roll band. The band also took part in a year of summer stock theatre at the Berkshire Playhouse in Stockbridge, Massachusetts performing in plays like The Pajama Game" and West Side Story. Ann's performance with her band in a fashion event was the first time Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. In just a couple of weeks and a half, the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot the first Vogue Cover featuring photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was among America's most viewed models. She was featured on the cover of leading magazines, including Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and numerous other magazines. After two years Ann was able to enter the world market with her successful modeling for a number of companies in Europe and Japan as the face for major cosmetic brands like Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
